Welcome to Purple Class!

Hello everyone and welcome back to the start of a new school year! 

We are Purple class and we are in Year 2. There are currently 25 children in our class. Our teacher is Mr Chase and our LSAs are Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Duxbury.

This term we will be learning about the Amazon rainforest and will become more familiar with the animals and wildlife that can be found there. We will learn about food chains, human and physical geographical features, different habitats and we will use and make maps. For more details please see the topic grid pdf document. We are also planning an educational visit to Colchester Zoo this term (details and dates to follow) as part of our learning on South American animals.

In Year 2 the P.E. days are Tuesday and Thursday. Please make sure that your P.E. bag is in school with a white t-shirt, red shorts and plimsolls or trainers. It is also useful to have tracksuit trousers/jogging bottoms for when the weather gets colder.
