Welcome to Yellow Class!

I am your teacher is Mrs Canham, and your teaching assistant is Mrs carter. Mrs Richards will be teaching you on a Tuesday. We are Year 1! 

We hope you had a wonderful summer holiday and are excited to start your new learning adventure in Year 1.

Our topic this term is “Who lives in a place like this?” We will be having lots of fun exploring and linking our learning around a teaching block based on Geography. We will be learning about people and places linked to different environments such as on the farm and living on an Island, both real and fictional. In science we will explore a variety of animals and their environments that will help us with our predicting, sorting, recording, explaining, and reasoning skills. We have arranged an animal workshop to visit our school so the children will have the opportunity to learn about the animals and see them up close!

Our P.E. days are Monday and Wednesday. Please bring your P.E. kit to school, but on colder days it will be necessary to wear tracksuit trousers and a warm top in addition to your regular t-shirt and trainers. Please make sure earrings are removed at home and long hair tied up on this day in line with our school PE policy. Thank you. 

Furthermore, please remember to bring, water bottles and book bags to school every day.
